Equine Welfare Data Collective Announces July Data Drive Prize Winners
The Equine Welfare Data Collective (EWDC), a program of the United Horse Coalition, recently held the July Data Drive to encourage 501c3 equine welfare organizations to participate in EWDC data collection and have their amazing work recognized in the next EWDC report.
The EWDC July Data Drive raffled off several Visa Gift Cards ranging from $100 to $500 to qualifying organizations that submitted data on the at-risk equines in their care for the entirety of 2021. The data collected includes critical information on equines entering the custody of sanctuaries, rescues, and transition centers, as well as safety net services provided to owners in need such as veterinary assistance, direct placement services, and feed bank assistance.
The EWDC is working hard on analyzing the data for a 2021 summary report and is looking forward to once again sharing information on the critical services being provided to thousands of owners and at-risk equines across the United States.
“The July Data Drive was a great success in helping us build a robust sample size for our next report. We’re excited to get started analyzing the data and sharing it with everyone that works towards supporting at-risk equines and owners in their community,” said Emily Stearns, EWDC Program Manager.
Since the inception of the EWDC in 2018, over 350 organizations across the country have participated. Participation is free, and all data collected is aggregated so no individual organization is identified.
